NH examines shifting political landscape
CONCORD (AP) — The changing face of New Hampshire’s political landscape will be the focus of a lecture this week in Concord.
Andy Smith, director of the UNH Survey Center, will speak at the Pierce Manse Tuesday night as part of the state Political Library’s yearlong lecture series on New Hampshire political traditions and history.
The speech, titled “Red, Blue and ... Independent,” will look at how New Hampshire has changed from being the most solidly Republican state in New England to a state where Democrats have won the governor’s office and majorities in both the House and Senate.
