NH to unveil new brand identity for state Thursday
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire's Division of Travel and Tourism Development is unveiling a new brand identity to promote the state as a travel destination.
The brand will be shown at the Governor's Conference on Tourism on Thursday in Manchester.
A survey of consumers and tourism representatives in 2010 showed that unlike Maine lobsters and Vermont cows, New Hampshire didn't have a clear icon of its own.
The survey showed that the groups know the state for its White Mountains, foliage and its authentic New England feel.
Tourism is one of New Hampshire's largest industries. Tourism officials plan to discuss the successes and challenges of 2011 at the conference.
