NH adds extra state trooper patrols

CONCORD (AP) – New Hampshire State Police have extra troopers on the road during the long Memorial Day weekend.

Federal highway safety funds are being used to pay for extra enforcement traffic patrols aimed at reducing speeding, crashes and reckless driving. Extra troopers also will be looking to stop drunk drivers.

State police say those who do drive drunk should expect to be arrested.
