MANCHESTER – Mitt Romney will be counting down the final hours of his 2012 presidential race in New Hampshire like a rock star.

He’ll be joined by one, too.

The Romney campaign confirmed Tuesday night that American singer-songwriter Kid Rock will be headlining Romney’s so-called “Final Victory Rally” at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester on the eve of the presidential election.

Doors open for the event at 6:30 p.m., according a flier released by the campaign Wednesday. The event begins three hours later.

Interested attendees can register for tickets here.

The “Born Free” singer will open for Romney’s visit that will make up for missed campaign opportunities in New Hampshire this week as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

The Republican presidential candidate canceled an event at Milford’s Hampshire Dome on Tuesday because of the storm, and his wife, Ann Romney, canceled two more a day earlier at her husband’s Derry headquarters and the McIntyre Ski Area lodge in Manchester.

Last Saturday, President Barack Obama stumped at Nashua’s Elm Street Middle School after a performance by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer James Taylor.

The Telegraph announced its endorsement of the former Massachusetts governor Tuesday.
