UNITY (AP) — Counselors were available at a New Hampshire school Monday to help those mourning the deaths of three teenagers killed in a crash in Unity.

Two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old died Sunday afternoon when their car went off the road, struck a tree and split in two pieces, according to state police. Another 17-year-old was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The Eagle Times reports that one of the teens killed, 18-year-old Brittany Bailey, graduated from Stevens High School in Claremont earlier this year. Superintendent Middleton McGoodwin said counselors from the school district and West Central Behavioral Health were at the Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center on Monday.

“Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families and friends of these students during this very difficult time,” McGoodwin said.

The 17-year-olds have not been identified. Authorities say speed was a factor in the crash.
