Motorcyclist hurt near end of New Hampshire fest

LACONIA, N.H. (AP) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an early morning crash on the final day of Laconia Motorcycle Week in New Hampshire.

Laconia police say the accident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday when an unidentified motorcyclist lost control and rolled his Trike-style bike on Route 106.

The man was treated at Lakes Region General Hospital then transported to a Boston hospital with serious head injuries.

Police say the initial investigation indicates alcohol may have been a factor.

The accident occurred a day after another motorcyclist was killed in an accident in Laconia.

Police say 24-year-old David Czarnota of North Reading, Massachusetts, was taken to Lakes Region General Hospital early Saturday morning, where he was pronounced dead.

Laconia Motorcycle Week attracts thousands of riders to the 9-day fest.
