Rosenwald responds to Medicaid issue
CONCORD – New Hampshire schools could lose millions of dollars because an expansion of the Medicaid to Schools program signed by Gov. Chris Sununu was not properly implemented. In response, Sen. Cindy Rosenwald, D-Nashua, released the following statement.
“The Medicaid to Schools program, which has been in place for nearly two decades, has been a critical tool to increase access to services inside and outside the classroom, including speech therapy and physical therapy. Unfortunately, because of Gov. Sununu’s mismanagement of the Medicaid to School Program, 90,000 New Hampshire students are at risk of losing access to those school health services. While we know our schools are doing all they can to continue delivering this care, it is discouraging that they may be unnecessarily held responsible for the costs.”
