N.H. delegation wants to ban PFAS foam
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan, along with U.S. Reps. Annie Kuster and Chris Pappas, all D-N.H., are disappointed that President Donald Trump may veto a version of the defense authorization bill, which would ban the Department of Defense from using firefighting foam containing PFAS chemicals.
“It’s tremendously disappointing to see the president undermining congressional efforts to address PFAS contamination affecting our service members and military facilities,” the leaders stated collectively. “However, we are adamant that more action is necessary to prevent further water contamination. This administration should be making every effort to work with Congress to make sure families near these facilities can trust their tap water.”
