NASHUA — Mayor Jim Donchess late Wednesday announced city resident Cheryl Lindner as his new chief of staff.

She will replace Kim Kleiner, who was recently appointed to the role of administrative services director.

Lindner will officially start at City Hall on June 10.

“I look forward to serving the citizens of Nashua in the role of chief of staff. I am thankful for the opportunity to give back to the community my family has called home for over 20 years,” Lindner said.

Most recently, Lindner served as vice president for the St. Joseph Community Services Meals on Wheels program, managing daily operations, finance and development.

From March 2014 through November 2017, she worked as assistant general manager for the Nashua Silver Knights. With the Silver Knights, she managed finances (budgeting) and strategic planning, human resources and staff recruitment, as well as created community engagement projects and successful partnerships with nonprofits.

Cheryl also previously served as president of the Great American Downtown board of directors.

“Cheryl’s knowledge of and passion for Nashua, as well as her leader ship skills and strong background in management, finance and community engagement, make her a perfect fit for the chief of staff position,” Donchess said.

Lindner has been a resident of Nashua since 1994 and is married with two daughters.
