Hollis man allegedly points gun at officer
HOLLIS – Scott Lebaron, 63, of Hollis, faces a felony criminal threatening charge after he allegedly pointed a rifle at a police officer.
According to police, officers responded to a residence on Silver Lake Road at about noon Monday to conduct a welfare check. Evidence at the scene suggested someone was home, but officers failed to make contact with anyone.
Eventually, officers gained entry to the residence. Officers allege it was at this point that Lebaron pointed the rifle at the officer.
Officers then exited the house. The resident exited and eventually complied with officers. He was taken into custody without incident.
Lebaron was released on an unspecified amount of cash bail. His arraignment is set for May 2 at Hillsborough County Superior Court-South.
