Ready For Sunshine: Insider’s take on school trip
Editor’s Note: This is the second in a series of articles from Nashua High School South senior Abbey Rowe, who is www the adventures of nearly 70 local high school students on their trip to Hawaii.
NASHUA – Well, my classmates and I woke up at 2 a.m. (Thursday) to get to the bus station by 2:30 a.m. We were in Boston by 4 a.m. and on the first flight in Newark by 7:20 a.m. Finally, we got on for the long flight of 11 hours. Once we got off of that plane, it hit all of us. We were in Hawaii. We got to the hotel, settled in, and we got to explore around the town.
Coryn Flavin and Patrick Martin, both seniors at Nashua High School South collectively said, “We weren’t expecting it to be so mountainous, and there were a ton of people out riding their bikes, walking, and skateboarding around town.”
We are all exhausted, but so excited to wake up (Friday) morning. Some of us will be scuba diving. We will be going on a catamaran, and going to a museum to learn about Hawaiian science and history.
