Residents evacuated due to river ice jam

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) – Some Brattleboro, Vermont, residents have been evacuated from their homes due to an ice jam on a brook that has caused flooding.

Mynbc5.com reports that Mountain Home Trailer Park, the Glen Trailer Park and a public housing facility in southern Vermont town were being evacuated Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service warned that localized flooding was possible.
