Hudson man faces slew of felony, misdemeanor child pornography charges

NASHUA – Erik Callahan, 19, of Hudson, faces numerous felonies for allegedly possessing and distributing child sex abuse images of three girls.

The investigation began March 23 when Nashua police received a report that someone posted nude images of a juvenile female to social media. Detectives from the Special Investigations Division furthered the investigation, ultimately identifying Callahan as the suspect. Detectives learned there were two additional juvenile female victims, with all victims known to Callahan.

As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the felony of distribution of child sexual abuse images. He also faces 18 additional counts of the same charge; felony charges of possession of child sexual abuse images; and two misdemeanor counts of violation of privacy.

Nashua officers arrested Callahan at 9:49 p.m. Tuesday. He refused bail, pending arraignment at Hillsborough County Superior Court-South.

Each felony is punishable by up to 15 years in state prison, exclusive of fines. Each misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections, exclusive of fines.
