Shaping the ‘best of’ ballot

NASHUA – For years, the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce has recognized local businesses with their Best of Souhegan Valley Region Awards, and are currently calling upon the public and area businesses to vote on award categories.

SVCC Executive Director Wendy Hunt said the survey will be available on the Chamber’s Website for a month, to allow prospective voters time to make their choices in each of the categories. Roughly 350 voters participated last year, Hunt said, adding that business owners “really look forward” to the annual event.

“I think as we get newer businesses, and as others change, it’s good to have some fresh ideas,” Hunt said. “And I think the public and businesses in the area are the best ones to determine that.”

It seems businesses get more and more competitive each year, and many get involved in doing their own campaigning to secure a “best of” award.

The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LYKTVY5. Those interested can check in ahead of the voting process to give voters, and local businesses, a chance to help shape this year’s ballot.

“We are excited to partner again with the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce for the 2019 Best of Souhegan Valley Region Awards,” Telegraph Publisher Heather Henline said. “Our goal is to recognize and honor the best of the best in local business and entrepreneurship. We want to ensure our annual contest remains relevant to the current business climate and we also have categories that engage voters – our readers.”
