Nashua, Merrimack residents indicted on various charges

BRENTWOOD – Charges related to drug possession, a firearms offense and a theft case led to the indictments of three local men by a Rockingham County grand jury.

The men were among numerous suspects for whom the grand jury for November handed up indictments just before the Thanksgiving holiday.

An indictment is not an indication, or proof of, guilt, but represents the Grand Jury’s determination that enough evidence exists for prosecutors to move the case forward in Superior Court.

Indicted were Nashua residents Shawn P. Ganley, 38, of 57 Worcester St., and George H. Degraan, 45, of 64 Taylor St., along with Christian Biddle, 27, of 1 Arrow Lane, Amherst.

Ganley was indicted on one count each of possession of a controlled drug, a Class A felony, and reckless conduct – deadly weapon, a Class B felony.

They accuse him of possessing the drug fentanyl and recklessly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of fentanyl, on June 17 in Londonderry.

Degraan’s three indictments include two counts of possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense, Class B felonies, and one count of falsifying physical evidence, a Class B felony.

He is accused of possessing fentanyl after having been convicted of one or more prior offenses, and possessing crack cocaine after having been convicted of one or more prior offenses, on Feb. 15 and March 6, and with purposely concealing a crack pipe with the purpose to impair a police investigation, on March 6, all in Salem.

Biddle, meanwhile, was indicted on one count of theft, a Class A felony, for allegedly stealing from another person a coin collection valued in excess of $1,500, on Oct. 2, 2017, in Londonderry.
