Lowell woman arrested for DUI
PELHAM – Michaela Pimentel, 23, of Lowell, Massachusetts, faces charges of DUI, criminal mischief, conduct after an accident and a solid line violation after a Wednesday incident in Pelham.
Pelham officers responded to a call about a hit and run crash on Beacon Hill Road shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday. The caller said the female driver of a Mazda 3 sedan followed her home.
The caller said she did not know the female driver who followed her home. When she asked the woman if she needed help, the woman reportedly got back into her Mazda. She then allegedly drove across the grass and struck a utility box in the yard as she attempted to leave the driveway.
Once officers located and stopped the Mazda, they observed signs of alcohol impairment. They then arrested Pimentel on the aforementioned charges.
Pimentel was released on personal recognizance bail to a sober adult. She will be arraigned on Oct. 22 at the Salem District Court.
