Hudson hosts 9/11 memorial

Every year, hundreds of people gather at Benson Park in Hudson to say a few words in remembrance of those lost in the 9/11 terror attacks in a brief ceremony at Benson Park.

“Seventeen years ago on this day, that life we had known was changed,” Pastor David Howe said to the crowd of spectators, police officers, firefighters and other first responders. “For many, there will always be an empty seat at the dinner table.” He said now, after nearly two decades, there is an entire generation of young people who have no recollection of a day that so many people cannot erase from their memories. Because of this, Americans must be “ever vigilant” that we not forget 9/11 and “do our best to prevent this kind of tragedy” from happening ever again.
