Board seeking representatives

AMHERST – The Souhegan Cooperative School Board is seeking nominations for candidates to represent Amherst and Mont Vernon as community representatives on the Souhegan Community Council.

Those interested must submit a letter to the board no later than Sept. 12.

This is an opportunity for residents to get involved directly with the high school. The council has been recognized nationally as a model for being inclusive off all voices in the school, including those of students, faculty members and residents.

The purpose of the council is to govern all school affairs, consistent with school board policy, state policy, or administrative regulations established with the superintendent of schools. The council serves as a link between the community, students, the school board and the faculty of Souhegan.
