MERRIMACK — Police officers arrested a Merrimack woman and a Massachusetts man in separate cases during the weekend.

At 9:13 p.m. Saturday, officers arrested Samantha McCarthy, 31, of Merrimack, on charges of domestic violence-simple assault and criminal mischief.

Officers made the arrest after determining that McCarthy had pushed a victim. McCarthy also allegedly broke a mirror in the home by removing it from the wall and throwing it.

After the arrest, McCarthy was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail. She is scheduled to appear before Ninth Circuit Court, Merrimack Division, at 8 a.m. today on the charge.

Meanwhile, at an unspecified time Friday, officers arrested David Ywoskus, 27, of Waltham, Massachusetts, on an outstanding warrant.

Merrimack police responded to a residence on Aug. 13 for a report of a medical emergency. While at the residence, officers learned that an altercation occurred between two family members.

After the investigation, officers believed Ywoskus had assaulted a family member. He had left the area prior to police arriving.

After the arrest, Ywoskus was processed at the Merrimack Police Department and released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. He is charged with one count of domestic violence, a Class A misdemeanor. He is scheduled to appear in court on the charge on Thursday.
