Lyndeborough Community Day hits small snag

Forecast deters some patrons and vendors from annual celebration

LYNDEBOROUGH – Although the rain didn’t arrive until after noon, it did manage to keep people indoors, as few attended the annual Community Day events on Saturday.

Most vendors for the marketplace passed, but that didn’t stop those who attended from having a good time looking at the wide variety of items at the silent auction, having a hotdog or a cheeseburger and chatting with friends.

The young, and the young-at-heart, took a ride in the fire department’s off-road utility vehicle, occasionally blowing the fire truck horn.

Library Program Director Regina Conrad had a variety of astronomy-related crafts, such as building a solar system, for the children but an evening sky watch was rained out.
