Merrimack man facing charges for domestic assault
MERRIMACK – A local man was arrested Sunday night for assaulting his girlfriend, having allegedly put his hands around her neck, grabbing her hair and wrists, then sitting on top of her to prevent her from leaving.
Police said Eric Dearborn, 28, fled his girlfriend’s home and fled back to his residence. He was arrested and charged for two counts of domestic violence simple assault, two counts of second degree assault, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and false imprisonment.
He was held on a $50,000 cash bail and transported to Valley Street Jail, police said. He was scheduled for arraignment Monday.
