Nashuan injured in motorcycle wreck in Hollis

HOLLIS – A Nashua man sustained “significant” injuries in a motorcycle collision, according to Hollis police.

Thomas Mead, 56, was driving on Proctor Hill Road when he traveled into a dirt section off the paved road lost control of his motorcycle, crashing into a field. Police said they believe Mead was driving while impaired.

He was taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center and then arrested and charged with driving or operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Mead was released on a personal recognizance bail and transported to Lahey Clinic in Massachusetts for further treatment, police said. The accident remains under investigation.
