Cell phone destroyed in domestic disturbance

MERRIMACK – After responding to a pharmacy Tuesday night, Merrimack police officers arrested Amber Grygiel, 21, charging her with domestic violence-simple assault, criminal mischief and obstructing report of a crime.

After receiving a report of a domestic disturbance at a local residence around 6:30 p.m., police met with the victim who said an argument took place involving Grygiel. That argument allegedly continued for some time, escalating once the victim attempted to leave and call police.

Grygiel allegedly chased and jumped on the victim’s back, as they attempted to call police, and destroyed the victim’s cell phone. Investigating officers went to the residence where the argument originally took place and were able to contact Grygiel. She was then placed under arrest, and released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail. She’s scheduled to answer to those charges on June 21.
