Police seek public’s aid to ID thief

Suspect took cash from D’Angelo sandwich shop

MERRIMACK – Police officers hope members of the public can help identify the man suspected of robbing D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches on Monday evening.

Officers with the Merrimack Police Department responded to the restaurant, located at Three Amherst Road, at 8:16 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a man claiming to have a gun and demanding cash. According to police, officers gave the man an undetermined amount of cash before he fled the restaurant.

Employees described the suspect as being a white man in his early 20s with a slim build. They said he is about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with brown or hazel eyes, light brown hair and a short, scruffy beard and mustache. Workers said the man wore a red flannel shirt and blue jeans, while he carried a blue backpack.

Nashua officers responded with their K-9 unit to conduct a search of the area, but they failed to locate the suspect. Merrimack officers ask anyone who witnessed this suspect in the area, or has any information on who the suspect is, to contact Detective Sean McGuire at 603-424-3774.
