Police: Area woman stabbed herself

MERRIMACK – Police say a Scott Drive woman stabbed herself and then called police with a story about a male attacker.

Now, Kristin Miller, 33, of 3 Scott Drive, is charged with making a false report to police.

Miller called police on the night of Jan. 27 to report she had just returned home when she was confronted by an unknown man in her driveway, which is on the right side of the split-level home. She said, after stabbing her, the man then fled.

Emergency medical personnel called for a trauma team to be activated at Nashua’s Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, where they transported Miller after treating her at the scene. She was reportedly in stable condition.

Police say these statements were false, and that she had, in fact, stabbed herself, based on the evidence investigators have since obtained. Miller did not respond to a request for comment Thursday night when The Telegraph called her home.

She is due to be arraigned on the misdemeanor charge on Feb. 22 in the Merrimack District Court. She’s currently free on personal recognizance bail.
