For local Patriots fans, hours of nail-biting gives way to raucous celebration

The contest was part of a pre-game party hosted by Nashua's Bellavance Beverage. Makela's husband, Roger, and their daughter, Kaitlyn, join her.
Staff photo by Dean Shalhoup Patriots fans watching Sunday's game at the River Casino & Sports Bar were rather subdued after Jacksonville went up 14-3 in the first half, but quiet would eventually erupt into boisterous celebration when the Pats secured the win late in the game.

NASHUA – Jean Adie jumped from her chair, raised her arms, shrieked with joy and hugged her friend, then topped it off by pounding out a rhythmic drum beat on the bar.
