Locals indicted in Rockingham County court

BRENTWOOD – A Rockingham County Superior Court grand jury has indicted Nashua resident Nicholas Conte on charges stemming from an April car crash in which he and a passenger sustained serious injuries.

Four indictments were handed down against Conte, 29, of 12 Newcastle Drive, Apt. 11, all on the Class B felony charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated with serious bodily injury.

The Rockingham grand jury also handed down indictments against two Hudson residents – Dallas McNeill, 24, of 6B Windham Road, and Michael Sullivan, 31, of 178 Derry Road.

An indictment is not an indication, or proof of, guilt, but represents the grand jury’s determination that enough evidence exists for prosecutors to move the case forward in Superior Court.

Conte’s charges accuse him of driving on Lowell Road in Windham on April 23 while under the influence of alcohol, and with a blood alcohol level of .08 or more, “causing a motor vehicle collision which resulted in serious bodily injury” to a female passenger as well as himself.

Conte sustained a fracture to his forearm, while the passenger suffered a fracture to her spine, the indictments state.

McNeill, meanwhile, was indicted on one count each of accomplice to burglary and reckless conduct, both Class B felonies.

The accomplice charge accuses her of helping a man burglarize a residence on Chester Turnpike in Candia by allegedly driving him to and from the scene.

The reckless conduct charge accuses McNeill of driving the car “at a high rate of speed” toward another vehicle driven by a person age 55 and “narrowly missing it.”

Both incidents took place on Feb. 15.

As for Sullvian, the grand jury handed down an indictment on the Class B felony charge of possession of a controlled drug, along with one Class B misdemeanor “information” count each of operating under the influence of drugs and conduct after an accident.

Sullivan is accused of taking out the 5.4 milemarker sign on Interstate 93 in Salem on June 2, and allegedly failing to stop to report the crash.

Police investigating the incident charged Sullivan with driving under the influence of drugs, as well as for allegedly being in possession of the anti-anxiety drug alprazolam at the time.
