Gun stolen from Nashua recovered in Manchester

MANCHESTER – A Manchester woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly threatening another woman with a pistol, according to police, which led officers to a firearm reported stolen out of Nashua.

Iris Maldonado, 30, of 44 West St., Manchester, was taken into custody by the city’s police department for one count of each criminal threatening, receiving stolen property and felonious use of a firearm – all three are felonies – and was arraigned Thursday.

Police say shortly before 8:30 p.m. on April 26, officers responded to a West Street property for reports of a threat involving a firearm. Officers spoke with several witnesses at the scene and determined Maldonado became involved in an argument with another female, 27-year-old Keishla Toro Caraballo of Manchester, when Maldonado allegedly took out a black pistol and pointed it at the victim’s head.

Manchester police say a Massachusetts State Police badge and several firearms, including a black Smith & Wesson MP 9mm and a rifle, were located in Maldonado’s possession. The Smith & Wesson matched the description given by Caraballo to police and was reportedly stolen out of Nashua.
