Gubernatorial candidate Kevin Smith coming to Brookline

BROOKLINE – Residents interested in getting to know more about a candidate for governor can head to the Brookline Fire Department on Thursday night, where Republican candidate Kevin Smith will participate in a Town Hall meeting.

The meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m., is open to the public.

Smith, of Litchfield, served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives for several years beginning in 1997 and worked for former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith as an outreach liaison to the state’s law enforcement community.

He also served as former Gov. Craig Benson’s liaison to the Executive Branch department heads and Executive Council. In 2005, Smith was appointed to the state’s Division for Juvenile Services, where he became the assistant director.
