Race and walk to be held in Nashua on Saturday

NASHUA – Local runners and walkers who have yet to sign up for Saturday’s Alec’s Shoes-Greater Nashua Salvation Army 5K Race and Fitness Walk can do so between 8 and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

The annual event, which starts at 10 a.m., benefits the Salvation Army’s children’s summer camp program.

Runners and walkers start and finish at Lewis & Clark Movers, 131 Burke St., which is toward the east end of Burke Street just past Arlington.

Top finishers in several categories will receive awards. A raffle will be held, sponsored by 3C Race Productions, which will also officially time the race. The first 100 runners/walkers to register will receive T-shirts.
