High Hopes Foundation of NH Announces Accessible and Inclusive Arts Grant Program

High Hopes Foundation of NH is pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for New Hampshire artists and arts venues, as well as children with a disability or chronic illness and their families. This new Accessible and Inclusive Arts Grant Program is for artists and venues of all kinds – from fine arts classes to performance and more. High Hopes Foundation’s first goal is to encourage the creation of ongoing experiences that are accessible to and inclusive of its target audience of children up to age 18. At the same time, the grants will focus on creating inclusive community engagement as widely as possible.

“Raising my own child who experiences multiple disabilities and wanting him to have authentic community opportunities like his siblings and peers do, has been challenging,” said High Hopes experience committee member, Donna Brand. He needs more inclusive opportunities so that he can have life experiences that have not been available to him on a regular basis.”

Part of the mission of High Hopes Foundation is to facilitate ongoing access to inclusive social experiences otherwise unavailable to individuals and their families. High Hopes Foundation engages community and business partners in ways that positively illustrate that these experiences should be regularly available to all the children of NH. “What better way to address this goal than by engaging and encouraging creative people and venues across the state to expand inclusion and accessibility to a variety of activities,” said Lisa Rourke, president of High Hopes Foundation. “We are excited to see where this program takes our families and communities.”
