Comedy night fundraiser for Nashua PD hockey
NASHUA – The Nashua Police Department hockey team cordially invites you to a night of laughs for a great cause. The comedy night is being held at the Holiday Inn and Suites at 9 Northeastern Blvd., from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, April 7. There will be appetizers, raffles and a cash bar. The NPD hockey team will be attempting to win back-to-back championships at the Bfit Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament on April 20-22. This tournament was organized to help first responders raise money for charities that are near and dear to them. Team NPD has once again chosen the Heart Warrior Foundation as their charity to support. Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite.com at the following link
If you can’t make it to the comedy night you are more than welcome to make a donation to the team’s efforts by utilizing the following link: https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/nashua-pd-heart-warrior-foundation.
The Heart Warrior Foundation was created by the DiFava and Adamson families (NPD employees), who were directly affected by Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) in their two children Genevieve and Will. After seeing firsthand the impact CHD’s have on the entire family unit, the DiFava and Adamson families decided to create a nonprofit organization in which the goal is to support, educate, and raise funds and awareness for families affected by CHDs. In 2016, with the support of friends and family, they were able to raise and donate $12,000 to The Heart Center at Boston Children’s Hospital. Seeing the great potential of the impact they could have on affected families led to the creation on the Heart Warrior Foundation, a registered 501( c ) (3) charitable foundation.
