Scouts and family members Cub Scout Pack 425 participated in a Color Morphing investigation recently at a Pack 425 den meeting. These are pretty big words for kids this age but they didn’t have to spell them, they just had the impressive experience to enjoy!

This is part of the “Super Science Adventure,” an elective for the Cub Scout Bear Rank. Third-graders are performing this experiment to explore scientific principals of what happens when you try to mix water and oil. The fluids are marked with dye to more easily identify them as they do some really interesting things when combined!

Cub Scout Pack 425 has room for a few more boys and their families. Anyone interested can visit our website at Also, feel free to contact Kathy Crosby at for more details. We would love to have you join us for the Pinewood Derby race on March 3.

To be eligible to join you need be a boy in Kindergarten through grade 5, looking for fun, excitement, and a family oriented program that will help develop character, citizenship and fitness.
