On Sunday, April 2, Abhinav Avvaru, a fifth-grade student, represented Infant Jesus School at the Young Inventors New Hampshire Invention Convention at Southern New Hampshire University. The Young Inventors Program is a K-12 grade project based, hands-on STEAM enrichment program. Abhinav competed against students from 47 other schools, after winning first place at Infant Jesus School’s Invention Convention. Infant Jesus School is proud to announce that Abhinav won second place in the Top Coder Disruptive Technology category. This category is for inventions that could possibly replace an item already on the market with a better version. Abhinav also placed first for the Best Electrical Invention. He received medals, a check for $75 and a $100 Amazon Gift card. The school is very proud of Abhinav’s accomplishments.
