Hudson T-Bones staff hopes to hit $200,000 with 20th-year effort

It all started twenty years ago, when the wait staff at the Hudson T-Bones decided to pool 100 percent of all donated tips from one evening in December, take that money and buy toys for area kids for the holiday season.

This special effort has raised approximately $175,000 over the 20 years, thanks to the guests’ and Great NH Restaurants’ donations. The ambitious goal of topping $200,000 during this 20th year has spurred the team on to include a few extra ways for people to participate.

This year’s Tips for Toys evening will be on Monday, Dec. 5, starting at 4 p.m. and running through closing. This year, the added feature will be the donation prize wheel running from Monday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Dec. 4. Any guest that donates $10 during those two weeks will earn a spin on the "Donation Prize Wheel" as a thank you. Everyone wins on the prize wheel, which is filled with great prizes including up to $50 off a future visit. Area children win too, with the toys and gifts distributed through the Salvation Army’s holiday distribution program.

Denis Brunelle, Hudson T-BONES general manager said, "The Donation Prize Wheel is a great addition to our Tips for Toys fundraising night. We have added it for two whole weeks to help meet our 20th year goal. Our staff and many of our guests look forward to this event. It provides such a feel good atmosphere amongst our T-BONES family!"
