Nashua Catholic has new teacher
NASHUA – Glenda McFadden, principal of Nashua Catholic Regional Junior High School, is pleased to announce that Laura Daigle has been added to the school’s music program.
"My number one job as a music teacher is to spark a love of music in my students," said Ms. Daigle. "I want students to love learning about music and musical instruments. I love integrating improvisational games into my classes as a fun way to teach creativity. I also enjoy infusing art into musical concepts to make learning music even more enjoyable."
Daigle graduated cum laude from Plymouth State University’s School of Music, Theatre and Dance, plays five different instruments, and has a beautifully trained singing voice.
Daigle will bring her extensive theatrical experience to the Wildcat Theatre in its performance of the musical "Legally Blonde Jr.," and she is also the coordinator for chorus and band.
She was the program director at Derryfield Repertory Theatre for four years and was a member of the company for more than six years. Daigle directed and choreographed St. Christopher School’s musical performances of "Aladdin Jr.," and "The Little Mermaid Jr."
Principal Mrs. Glenda McFadden adds that she is thrilled to have Daigle as part of the Nashua Catholic team.
"Music and theater have been longtime traditions at Nashua Catholic, and Ms. Daigle brings a positive exuberance to her classroom, clubs and theater group," said McFadden.
Daigle was nominated by both St. Christopher School and Nashua Catholic to conduct the Boston Pops at SNHU Arena.
