Steven Goldsmith

MERRIMACK – Specialty retailer Brookstone, based in Merrimack, has hired Steven Goldsmith as president and CEO to lead the company’s continued expansion in product development, U.S. and China-based retail stores, and wholesale partnerships.

Goldsmith brings more than 25 years of experience in retail, merchandising and marketing to the role, including serving as president of The Shopping Channel, Canada’s multi-channel retailer, from 2012-16. He was executive vice president of Merchandising at Sears Canada Inc. from 2011-12.

“I’ve always been in love with Brookstone,” Goldsmith said. “It’s about moments of discovery, excitement and fun. Whenever I saw the big ‘B,’ I knew it was going to be a great experience.”

Michael Croatti

NASHUA – Michael Croatti, of Pelham, was selected as the 2016 Rivier University Outstanding Business Leader award recipient.

This award recognizes a business or community leader who demonstrates a commitment to ethics in the workplace and achievement within his or her profession or industry. Croatti was presented with the award at the Rivier Alumni Dinner held at the university campus on Sept. 24.

Croatti is a senior vice president at UniFirst Corp., a $1.5 billion provider of workplace uniforms and facility services to businesses large and small, within a wide range of industries, with 240 facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada. He joined the company in 1987 and held many positions in production, service, and sales before being promoted to operations management in 1995, regional vice president in 2002, and senior vice president of Service in 2012.

Croatti earned his MBA in 2009 from Rivier.

Bonnie St.Pierre

MERRIMACK – Richard Jean, chairman of the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce, awarded Bonnie St.Pierre of B. St.Pierre Studio the 2016 Chairman’s Award at the October board of directors meeting.

The chairman’s award is given every year to a member of the Merrimack chamber who has shown commitment to the principles of the chamber, and goes above and beyond in volunteering and service to the organization and its members.

Jean cited St.Pierre’s years of work, not only providing photography of board members and staff for the chamber’s website, but also for serving on the board of directors and heading the membership committee.
