Nashua’s Ripano achieves top North American designation
NASHUA – Ripano Stoneworks joined the ranks of the nation’s elite countertop fabricators in June when they achieved the coveted designation of Marble Institute of America Accredited Natural Stone Fabricator. Ripano is now one of 82 companies in the United States and Canada to achieve the designation.
MIA accreditation for natural stone fabricators and commercial contractors recognizes those companies that meet the industry’s highest standards for business activities, product knowledge, fabrication and installation.
"Ripano is now among the finest in the natural stone industry with respect to craftsmanship, safety, and business practices," said James A. Hieb, executive vice president/CEO at the MIA. "They can now proudly display the accreditation seal, symbolizing their achievement."
To earn MIA accreditation, a company must complete an intensive, rigorous process that includes documentation of its business and employment practices, letters of recommendation, a written examination, and site visits to the facility and completed jobs.
Companies that achieve MIA accreditation exemplify best practices in physical facilities and equipment, business and trade practices, technical knowledge and expertise, quality control, safety, ethics and many other areas.
"The MIA Accreditation is a tremendous honor," said Matt Laliberte, vice president of Ripano Stoneworks. "For our family-owned and operated company from New Hampshire to be considered among the elite craftsmen throughout all of North America, it is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all of our employees and to the trust our customers have placed in us."
