Hudson chamber presents 46th annual awards dinner

HUDSON – The Greater Hudson Chamber of Commerce held its 46th annual Award Dinner on Tuesday, March 31 to honor the Citizen, Junior Citizen, Business, and Outstanding Community Partner of the Year.

The honorees were Laura Bisson as Citizen of the Year, Joseph Wedge Jr. as Junior Citizen of the Year, The White Birch Catering & Banquet Hall as Business of the Year, and the Hudson Police Department as Outstanding Community Partner of the Year.

Laura Bisson has had an immense impact as a friend and neighbor. She is someone who has significantly and positively impacted so many individuals and continues to make our community a better place as a result of her selfless efforts – therefore, a worthy selection for this year’s Citizen of the Year.

Joey Wedge Jr. was selected for his outstanding achievements and his selfless contributions within the community.

The White Birch Catering & Banquet Hall was recognized for its excellent business practices and dedication to providing high-quality services and community support to worthy causes that better Hudson residents.

The Hudson Police Department was awarded the Outstanding Community Partner of the Year for its service and contributions to the community that go above and beyond their daily call to duty.

The festivities included Marie Mayotte of Red Brick Clothing stepping up to do the evening invocation, while the Greater Hudson Chamber of Commerce president, Ryan Fragala of Financial Insurance Services, acted as emcee for the evening’s events. Guest speaker at the event was New Hampshire Speaker of the House and Hudson native and resident, Shawn Jasper.

Each of the winners was presented with a plaque from the chamber recognizing their deserving efforts as well as proclamations given by state legislative officials and the town of Hudson Board of Selectmen. The Junior Citizen of the Year also will receive a scholarship of $2,000 to assist in his academic future.
