Litchfield plans recount Tuesday

LITCHFIELD – A recount for the town of Litchfield’s $5 million operating budget will be held Tuesday, March 19, after the plan failed by four votes.

Town Clerk Terri Briand is looking for registered voters from the town of Litchfield to assist her with the recount. Anyone interested can call her at 424-4045, ext. 244. Her office will be closed Tuesday and the recount should commence at 2:30 p.m. ...

Town Administrator Jason Hoch said that four votes is within the margin of error and the recount was requested by at least 10 registered voters.

Recount results will be available Wednesday morning.
