Lyndeborough man killed when granite falls on him while working on house

A 19-year-old man was killed when a large piece of granite fell on him while he was helping friends and relatives work on a home at 91 Baldwin Hill Road in Lyndeborough.

The Wilton-Lyndeborough Ambulance Service arrived at the scene shortly after 10 a.m. Friday and found Benjamin Foisie pinned by a 16-foot-tall granite block, said Lt. Rainsford Deware III, the officer in charge of the Lyndeborough Police Department.

Deware said Foisie lived in the home and was helping his father and others move the granite when it fell.

Foisie was taken to the Milford Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11 a.m.

Police said the death was accidental.
