Rivier University donates old ‘Rivier College’ supplies to be given to city kids

NASHUA – Rivier University is putting all of those school supplies carrying its former name and logo to good use.

On Wednesday, the university donated supplies, such as calendars, folders, pens and pencils, with the old Rivier College name on them to the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce. The supplies will be used in back-to-school bags to be given out to students for the upcoming school year.

The private Catholic college officially became Rivier University on July 1. That left the school with a large volume of unused Rivier College supplies. The effort was organized by the Rivier University human resources department.
