Manchester Man Wanted for Bank Robbery

MANCHESTER, NH-On Saturday, June 23, 2012, Manchester Police responded to a reported robbery at the Members First credit Union at 44 Bridge Street. On arrival, they met with the teller who reported that a man entered the credit union and presented her with a note demanding cash and threatening violence if she did not comply. No weapon was seen.

The suspect fled the credit union on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect’s image was captured on surveillance and he was recognized by Ofc. Feldhouse, as well as some additional witnesses. Further investigation has resulted in a warrant for Robbery for the following individual:

Derrick Wright

30 years old

Multiple Drug Arrests Over Weekend

MANCHESTER, NH- On Saturday, June 23, 2012, at about 4:00 AM, Ofc. Lovejoy and Ofc. Florenzo stopped a vehicle in the area of Second Street and W. Hancock Street for failing to use a turn signal. Pursuant to the stop, the officers made contact with the driver, identified as:

Young Kim

31 years old

Londonderry NH

Officers made observations which lead them to believe the driver and passenger were involved in drug activity. Based on further investigation, Kim was found in possession of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine, as well as several thousand dollars in cash. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug with the Intent to Distribute. His vehicle was seized pending an application for a search warrant. Kim’s passenger was identified as:

Raechel Chapin

26 years old

Londonderry NH

She was held pursuant to a probation violation.

On Saturday, June 23, 2012, at about 9:00 PM, Ofc Duchesne and Ofc Feather observed two men in the area of Barry Ave and Lake Ave. The two men appeared to be engaged in a drug transaction so the officers approached to investigate. One of the men was detained by Ofc. Feather and identified as:

Roland Senechal

48 years old

Auburn NH

He was found in possession of suspected crack cocaine and powder cocaine and was subsequently charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug.

The second man attempted to elude Ofc. Duchesne and retreat inside Mike’s Pub, but after a brief struggle, he was detained and identified as:

Jeffrey Young

33 years old

Manchester NH

During the struggle, Ofc. Duchesne had observed Young throw an item inside the pub, under the bar. A cigarette pack containing suspected crack cocaine was later recovered from the area under the bar.

Young was charged with Possession of Controlled Drug, Resisting Arrest and Falsifying Physical Evidence.

On Friday, June 22, 2012, at about 8:10 PM, Officers from the Street Crime Unit observed two men apparently engaged in drug activity near Barry Ave and Lake Ave. It appears the two men were “snorting” a drug atop a wall in the alley. When officers approached, one of the men fled but was later detained after a brief foot pursuit, identified as:

Michael Vaughns

51 years old

Manchester NH

He was charged with resisting Arrest.

The second man did not flee, but did not immediately comply with the officer commands to stop, observed discarding an object as the officer tried to detain him, identifying hi as:

Paul Rutherford

45 years old

Manchester NH

The officer recovered a rolled up dollar bill and a gift card, both of which presented residue consistent with drugs. Rutherford was charged with Resisting Arrest and Falsifying Physical Evidence.

On Friday, June 22, 2012, Ofc. Boyd stopped a subject in the mall of NH parking lot that had been observed by Ofc Battistelli operating an unregistered bicycle on the sidewalk of South. Willow Street, identifying him as:

Joseph Quinn

25 years old

Manchester NH

Quinn was found in possession of a small amount of suspected heroin and subsequently arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Drug

On Friday, June 22, 2012, at about 6:00 PM, Ofc. Duchesne and Ofc Feather observed a vehicle involved in suspected drug activity in the area of 480 Beech Street. They initiated a motor vehicle stop of that vehicle near Bridge Street and Elm Street, identifying the driver as:

Lee Ensign

43 years old

Manchester NH

Ensign was found in possession of several ounces of marijuana. He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug.

Man Arrested After Leaving Several Restaurants With Tab Unpaid

MANCHESTER, NH- On June 23, 2012, at about 7:00 PM, Manchester Police took a report from Cotton Restaurant on Arms Street about a man who had ordered and consumed beverages and food, but left the establishment without paying the bill. Later at about 9:15 PM, Police had responded to the Black Brimmer Restaurant on Elm Street where they were detaining a man who had tried to leave without paying for two drinks he had ordered and consumed at the restaurant. The man detained was identified as:

Christopher Doherty

35 years old

Manchester NH

As police investigated the Brimmer incident, they were alerted to another incident at Karma Restaurant on Elm Street where an employee identified Doherty as they same man that had just ordered and consumed two beverages and then left without paying for them.

Doherty was subsequently arrested and charged with a felony Theft of Services. He was additionally charged with violating his bail conditions due to a pending court date on 07-03-12 for another Theft of Services where he is alleged to have failed to pay for services at the Airport Diner.

Man Reportedly Robbed at Gunpoint

MANCHESTER, NH- On Sunday, June 24, 2012, at about 11:30 PM, a man came into police headquarters to report a robbery at gunpoint that occurred the previous evening.

According to the 28 year old Manchester resident, he had been walking on Monadnock Lane, between Union Street and Beech Street, at about 12:30 AM, Sunday, June 24, 2012. At that time, he was approached by an unknown man who pointed a black handgun at his chest and demanded “everything” he had. The victim turned over his wallet and cell phone and the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late twenties or early thirties, about 5’11’ tall with a thin build. . He had short blond hair in a buzz cut and was last seen wearing jean shorts and a plain white t-shirt.
