Nashua man charged with DWI in Hollis
A Nashua man was charged with drunken driving by Hollis police after being found lying on the side of Dow Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to the area of 84 Dow Road around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, when someone spotted the man lying next to a vehicle. Hollis Ambulance personnel responded, treated the man at the scene and took him to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, police said.
Police later investigated and charged Gary Bernard, 50, of Rene Drive, Nashua, with DWI, DWI-second offense and driving after revocation, police said.
Bernard was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned at Nashua district court May 30, police said.
All of the charges are misdemeanors, police said.
