Merrimack man charged with drunken driving, domestic violence
MERRIMACK – A Merrimack man has been charged with drunk driving and domestic violence.
Police responded this week to a residence on Front Street for a possible domestic altercation. While police were responding they were advised that the male party involved, Ernest Demattia, had left in a blue Toyota Corolla.
The blue Toyota was spotted on the Daniel Webster Highway and was subsequently stopped. After a brief investigation Demattia was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor.
At the police station he was charged with O.U.I.L. and domestic/criminal mischief. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and order to appear in the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack on April 25.
