Nashua man charged in March burglary
NASHUA – A local man is free on bail after he was arrested Sunday morning in connection with a March burglary and assault, police said.
Cristian Roldan-Mejia, 24, of 2 Daniels St., was charged with burglary, a Class B felony, when detectives arrested him around 10 a.m., police said. He was arrested without incident, police added.
A warrant was issued in March for Roldan-Mejia, police said, following the March 10 burglary of a Nashua home whose occupant is acquainted with Roldan-Mejia. Police at the time determined Roldan-Mejia forced entry into the victim’s residence and assaulted the victim, who contacted police shortly afterward.
Police said the assault apparently stemmed from an earlier confrontation between the two.
Roldan-Mejia was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled for arraignment May 21 at Nashua district court.
If convicted, Roldan-Mejia faces up to seven years in prison, exclusive of fines, police said.
