Woman charged with DWI following early morning rollover crash in Hudson
HUDSON – A woman was charged with driving while intoxicated early Wednesday after her car drifted across Central Street, struck a parked vehicle and flipped onto its roof, police said.
Jenny Ferry, 45, of 3 Burns Hill Road, No. 44, was charged with the Class B misdemeanor. After being held at the Hudson Police Department, she was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned May 3 in Nashua district court.
At 4:18 a.m., police responded to Central Street west of Chase Street for a roll-over collision. A 1993 Subaru Impreza driven by Ferry and traveling east on Central Street drifted across the westbound lane and struck a vehicle that was parked legally on the west side of the road, police said.
No one was inside the parked car, a 2003 Saturn L200, police said.
The impact of the collision caused the Subaru to flip onto its roof, police said.
Central Street from the Veterans Bridge to Chase Street was shut down for approximately one hour. Members of the Hudson Fire Department responded and evaluated Ferry, who seemed not to be injured, police said.
