Nashua woman charged with forging checks last spring
Nashua police have charged a woman with forging three checks at local banks last year.
Police arrested Stacey Hayes, 37, of 22 Central St., Nashua, around 4:30 p.m. Friday and charged her with three counts of felony forgery, police said.
A resident reported a possible forgery to police on May 5. After investigating, detectives said three checks had been forged at banks in Nashua.
Hayes was released on $3,500 personal recognizance bail, and she will be arraigned at Nashua district court May 10, police said.
The Class B felony charges are punishable by up to seven years in prison, plus fines, police said.
