Voting day today in Merrimack, poor turnout at the polls
Today is voting day in Merrimack, which has a different annual meeting schedule than the rest of the community.
So far, voting has been “abysmal,” according to the town moderator. By 1 p.m., about 1,000 voters had cast ballots out of about 18,000 in town.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at two locations:
Precinct 1: All-purpose room of the Mastricola Upper Elementary School, Baboosic Lake Road
Precinct 2: St. John Neumann Church, Route 101A (behind McDonald’s).
