Hollis mother, son accused of hosting underage drinking party

HOLLIS – A mother and son have been charged with hosting an underage drinking party Friday night.

Sandra Haithcock, 45, and Matthew Haithcock, 18, both of 119 Witches Spring Road, were arrested Friday and charged with facilitating an underage alcohol house party, a Class A misdemeanor.

Lt. Richard Mello said police were tipped off to the party by a tow truck operator who had gone to the area to help with a situation.

“He witnessed something going on he wanted to report, so he contacted police,” Mello said.

Police responded and found several underage subjects in a detached garage in possession of alcohol, police said.

The homeowners left the main home and approached officers at the garage, police said.

At that point, one of the homeowners tried to conceal evidence from the officers and was arrested, police said.

Marijuana was recovered during the incident and three underage subjects were taken into protective custody, Mello said.

Mello said the investigation is ongoing.

“There will be additional arrests,” he said.

Sandra Haithcock was also charged with disorderly conduct and hindering apprehension or prosecution, also Class A misdemeanors.

Matthew Haithcock was also charged with possession of a controlled drug and possession of alcohol, also Class A misdemeanors.

Sandra Haithcock was released on $500 personal recognizance bail. Matthew Haithcock was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. Both are scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua district court April 4.
